Muay Thai or Thai kickboxing is very different from Western boxing. The fighters in Muay Thai may use feet, elbows, legs and knees to hit the opponent. It is also rich in tradition and culture as the ceremonies involved symbolize a lot of things. The fighters in Muay Thai perform several ceremonies and rituals before fighting. Both fighters will perform Wai Kru or a boxing dance to show their respect to their trainers. A Wai Kru is very unique and if both fighters perform the same Wai Kru, they will not be allowed to fight as that would mean they have the same trainer.
